Smart Technologies in Climate-Resilient Urban Infrastructure: A Systematic Literature Review

ABSTRACT:- Climate change poses significant challenges for urban areas, highlighting the need for innovative approaches to enhance both resilience and sustainability. This systematic literature review investigates the incorporation of smart technologies into urban infrastructures, specifically examining the interplay between technological advancements and a city’s adaptative capacity. Using a thematic synthesis approach, the review provides a comprehensive analysis of the existing literature. The results indicate that smart technologies play a crucial role in improving urban resilience by enhancing resource management and reducing climate related risks. These findings contribute to the existing academic discourse while offering pragmatic insights for urban planners seeking to leverage technological solutions as catalysts for sustainable urban transportation.
