Abstract: This article is qualitative research. It made use of extensive desk research, using secondary sources of information it revealed that organisation harbours all sort of conflict which must be identified and dealt with cogently by management. It particularly identified the relationship between superiors and subordinates as a major problem because of the difficulty in achieving effective communication. The article exposes cultural phenomenon in different countries as an area of interest which must be carefully understood and discerned for a new personnel, an expatriate for example to have good working relationship with other workers.
It is imperative that the manager understands the people he/she is working or going to work with, therefore every effort should be made to understand the background of his/her subordinates especially the culture of the people both within and outside the organisation.
The paper recommends that the superior must decide what work he/she should do himself/herself and what he/she would delegate. He/she has to motivate his/her staff to do what he/she wants. He/she can do so by using his/her authority, by manipulation and by influence. He/she can provoke the framework, for assessing achievement by establishing agreed objectives. The subordinate is likely to have ambivalent feelings about the boss. It is also very important that the superior studies his subordinates culture and the environment he/she works to be able to establish s sustainable cordial relationship with the workers.
