ABSTRACT:- Marketing organizations are navigating two transformative forces: an increasingly multigenerational workforce and the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI). While generational diversity enhances innovation, customer insight, and organizational learning, it also creates leadership challenges related to communication, collaboration, technology adoption, and workplace expectations. Although prior research has examined leadership, generational diversity, and AI independently, few studies integrate these concepts within a framework designed specifically for marketing organizations.
This conceptual article addresses that gap by introducing the Multigenerational Marketing Leadership Framework (MMLF), which synthesizes leadership, organizational behavior, knowledge management, and marketing literature. The framework identifies four interrelated leadership capabilities, Generational Intelligence, Collaborative Intelligence, Technological Intelligence, and Strategic Intelligence, that enable organizations to transform workforce diversity into innovation, organizational learning, and sustainable competitive advantage.
The article further argues that artificial intelligence should be viewed as a catalyst for collaboration and continuous learning rather than a replacement for human expertise. By integrating diverse generational strengths with technological innovation, the MMLF provides a practical roadmap for improving employee engagement, knowledge sharing, marketing performance, and organizational adaptability. The framework also establishes a foundation for future empirical research while offering actionable guidance for leaders managing multigenerational marketing teams in an increasingly AI-driven environment.
